MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!

After much consideration, we decided to actually publish out the family blog I started in October...hmmm, yah, well I told you I wasn't too good at this. But here it is, I hope you enjoy.

These pictures were the beginning of our Christmas season with a trip to Lil' Grandfather Mtn. for the Lucas family christmas tree. As usual we found a beauty....

...this was not it....

ours was being shaken, bundled, and tied to the car while we enjoyed hot cocoa and a christmas movie.

Always good to cuddle up on the hay ride, especially when it is so cold... and yes it was cold!

Who knows what kind of critters you will find in the wild.
(They don't tell you ahead that they come free with each tree purchase. :) )

And here is my little collector...
what ever can we make with leftover branches?

I hope you enjoyed the preview, you can pray that I keep up with this. I am sure I will have reminders along the way. And in the meantime, stop reading blogs, make some cocoa and cuddle up with your honey for a quiet Christmas night. Love you all, and Merry Christmas!

In the beginning....

Ok, so peer pressure works sometimes. So without further ado, my blog. Let me first introduce you to my "True Love", Matt. Without whom I would be no fun at all, and blogless. Of course he would not let me go without while all my friends are having such fun. He is the best ever, and am so thankful for him. Now let me introduce you to "Trouble"....

Trouble #1, also known as Christopher, Chris, Critter, or just kid...He is 8 and everything a boy should be and more.

Trouble #2, fondly known as Sammy, Sam B, Squirty Bert, or sometimes by his real name Samuel. This load of trouble is 6 and is equally as much boy as Trouble #1, though he finds different trouble which means we experience most everything since they are both so different and unique.

And to prove it, just a little taste of what makes us laugh. This little sign appeared in my school room after a trip to the kitchen. Of course they were both at their desks working like busy little bees, until I walked in and they both broke into laughter. So, as I have always done, I took a picture for future reference to be able to show them how bad they were and evoke a feeling of sorrow and a desire to make it up to me later in life. :) Actually, it's for me when they move out and I miss these crazy little critters and their antics. So I can laugh and cry all through my life.
(and, just in case the picture is too small to read the words, it says, NO SCHOOL )
